RAI's Conference

The Royal Anthropological Institute’s biennial conference aims to cover engaging themes that address topical debates, concerns and interests of anthropological communities around the world. The conference seeks to engage anthropologists practising in a variety of career sectors as well as expand interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration.

The RAI launched its first biennial conference in June 2012. The conference was a joint collaboration between the RAI and the British Museum’s Anthropology and Research Centre. The conference was entitled Anthropology in the World and attracted over 500 international delegates.  The next major conference will be held at the British Museum in May 2014 and is entitled Anthropology and Photography.
